Senior Landman needed for a full-time employment opportunity with a privately held oil and gas company in Louisiana. The ideal match for this position will have a degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management or Law, and at least 15 years of in-house landman experience in Louisiana and/or Texas onshore and state waters and the Gulf of Mexico, and a working knowledge of oil and gas laws, rules, and regulations in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Responsibilities include negotiating, drafting, reviewing, interpreting and amending land related contracts and agreements, including mineral and surface leases, assignments, releases, seismic permits, right of ways, easements, purchase, joint venture, joint operating, farm out/in agreements, options, conveyances, and other contracts. Additional responsibilities include analyzing title documents, opinions and curing title issues. Other leases and agreements may include those from other non-oil and gas operational areas as ranching, farming, and real estate operations.
