Aker Solutions' Engineering and Completion Management Team is based in Norway, The team is responsible for global processes within System Engineering, Document Management, Materials and Finite Element Analysis, and Mechanical Completion (MC). System Engineering is the group within Aker Subsea which has the overall responsibility for complete subsea system development contracts. This group is involved during all the different phases of a project, all the way from early phase conceptual studies to the installation phase. The Finite Element Analysis Group is part of System Engineering. It has a global responsibility for finite element analysis within the subsea part of Aker Solutions. We are looking for experienced individuals to strengthen our team, supporting our ambitions for growth within the subsea market.
We have an open position as Finite Element Analyst
Responsibilities and tasks
• Perform linear and non-linear FE analysis to support projects and product groups within Aker Subsea. The FE work will be related to design, testing and installation scenarios
• Participate in project groups to develop successful product- and system solutions
• Participate in standardisation work related to subsea design and stress analysis
Qualifications & personal attributes
• Degree in Engineering/Numerical analysis (PhD/MSc/BSc)
• Solid background, and preferably 2+ years experience, within finite element analysis
• Preferably 1 to 5 years engineering/design experience from subsea or offshore projects
• Personal quality:
o Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
o Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner
o Ability to work in teams
