A Wellington based oil and gas geoscience consultancy requires a Manager for their Geophysics and Technology division. This role exists to provide leadership in geophysics and technology (especially exploration seismic methods) within New Zealand and the Pacific region.

Reporting to the Managing Director the successful candidate will be responsible for;

- Seismic interpretation (oil and gas exploration)
- Design and project management of seismic acquisition and processing sub-contracts
- Database management
- Maintenance and development of technology platform
- Supervision and mentoring of staff
- Establish and manage customer relationships

Qualifications and Experience required:

- MSc or PhD in Geophysics
- At least 10 years of diverse oil industry experience, including exposure to seismic interpretation, processing (including advanced methods) and acquisition and, ideally, some knowledge of potential fields applications in exploration
- Conversant with workstation-based seismic interpretation, mapping, and probabilistic reserves estimation
- Recent team / staff leadership experience
