The Company has a long history in Egypt and its business spans upstream Oil and Gas exploration and downstream marketing services. Operations are focused in two hydrocarbon-rich provinces. The two provinces are very complex in terms of geology, but our Client is actively engaged in unlocking the complexities of these areas.
They are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Improvement Lead to join us in Cairo.
Job descriptionResponsibilities:
As Supply Chain Improvement Lead, you’ll drive and facilitate the development of our contracting and materials strategy, and deliver inventory management performance improvements. We’ll also require you to:
• Pursue bundling and packaging opportunities.
• Support the contract management competence development programme.
• Support the organisation in local, regional and global synergy.
• Review and recommend the new organisational structures across contracting and materials management.
• Support the introduction of contract management for key strategic contracts.
• Act as custodian for best practice and strategic focus in Contracting & Procurement (CP).
• Develop and implement the staff competence programme for supply chain management staff and contract holders.
• Develop a value-focused supply chain management process and change management plan
• Develop our supply chain management staff in new ways of working.
• Implement effective contract planning.
• Ensure the implementation of regional and global best practices.
RequirementsRequirements:
With a master’s degree in a relevant discipline, you’ll have at least five years’ CP professional experience, a well developed commercial sense, business acumen and the ability to multi-task. You’ll also possess:
• The ability to manage key external stakeholders and government relationships.
• Experience of dealing with projects, governmental bodies, national oil companies and driving and implementing change.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• An affinity with related areas, project delivery, joint venture operations and driving change activities.
• Familiarity with all types of contract models, including lump sums, reimbursable types, incentives, alliances and risk reward mechanisms.
• Knowledge of the market and an understanding of contractor drivers and estimating risk.
• Experience of developing concepts and business plans.
• Expertise in the line to meet the business need.
• Experience of supply chain management tools and techniques.
