Job descriptionTo manage, under of the responsibility of Construction Manager, all construction activities related to the Phase 3 Kharyaga Field Development, with particular attention paid to HSE matters: new appraisal and production pads, access roads, Central Processing Facilities extension, water injection, oil & gas export pipelines, new operation camp.
During the project:
- Ensure the RSES delegate function in co-operation with the safety site department.
- Define, mobilize and manage an organization will cover all construction (all) activities on site.
- Apply clear policies and general rules in order to have a coherent and homogeneous Construction Team
- Give clear instructions and responsibilities to enable personal fulfil their function with confidence.
- Ensure that all members of the team are aware that in addition to quality and good engineering practice, planning, meeting deadlines and cost must be a permanent concern.
- Maintain good motivation and moral within the Team.
- Contribute to development and implement contract strategy/philosophy for construction (all) contracts.
- Follow Up and Verify all documentations proposed by the Contractor.
- Oversee all responsible teams activities to ensure that all technical, contractual and cost information are properly recorded, collated and available for inspection/reference as required by law, regulations and company policies.
- Manage construction (all) interfaces with others: Engineering, other sub-projects, contractors, operations etc. ..
- Define and manage a strategy for minimize all shutdowns.
- Provide necessary input and participate in clarifications, negotiations etc. with site and Contractors to assure project development.
- Contribute to audits of Contractors or Sub-Contractors in co-operation with the QA/QC department.
- Make necessary arbitration between different disciplines, the only criteria being the benefit of the overall project.
- Identify deficiencies and develop solutions to construction (all) problems.
- Participate to regular site coordination meetings to report activities of Construction Contractors of all disciplines including Piping, Structural, Scaffolding, Instrumentation, Electrical, Painting etc …
- Liaise and support Vendor / Contractor representative for site survey and work visits.
- Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
RequirementsGraduate engineer with minimum 8 years experience in engineering and construction for the oil industry of which 5 spent in a lead engineering & construction position.
- RSES delegate experience.
- Fluent in English & French (speaking and writing). Russian would be a must.
- Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
