POSITION DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY DAY TO DAY DUTIES

Performs Crew Supervisor duties at the highest level of expertise.

Monitors contractor performance on daily basis to ensure rigidity compliance with acquisition parameter, guidelines and quality of collected geophysical data.

Verifies and approves crew unit rate of production (VP s, kilometers, etc.). Provides slatic weekly reports on the production and crew efficiently.

Ensures that all contractors equipment is operating within Aramco and manufactures specifications. Conduct independent tests.

Reviews and initially approves 3D survey preplan on site before sending to town to ensure compliance with parameters issued by Saudi Aramco.

Provides weekly report indicates the progress of survey, positive area that need to be reinforced and areas for improvement.

Scouts acquisition programs to ensure optimum program placement and verify the terrain type.

Monitors compliance with contractual terms, verifies invoicing for services on monthly basis.

Follow up on the status of Aramco properties that was assigned to crew and ensure proper handling.

Ensures contractor compliance with Health Safety and Environment standards and practices in field crews.

Trains and monitors junior Saudi Aramco employee on site.

Assists in the development and implementation of new field procedures and standards.

Recommends and executes filed test to optimize acquisition parameters, in cost effective while achieving the required imaging of the subsurface geology.

Monitors the mobilization and start up of acquisition crews and conduct independent tests on contractor equipment to verify compliance to contract terms. Additionally, monitors the demobilization and shut down of crew to ensure that all Saudi Aramco properties assigned to crew have been returned and geophysical data have been accepted by Saudi Aramco before the demobilization.

Under the general supervision of Field Operations Supervisor-Geophysical Data Acquisition, works full time with special work schedule as company representative on contractor acquisition field sites parties to ensure contractor compliance with contract terms and conditions, rigidity adherence to quality and HSE standards and to coordinate between field sites and Aramco field supervision. Provides planning and cost estimation for future seismic programs. Helps with the specification of seismic crew equipment and personnel levels for future programs.

Coordinates the activities of contract QC personnel, in cooperation with the Field Operations Supervisor.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

EXPERIENCE/DEGREE/TRAINING:

Bachelor s degree in Geophysics or related field (e.g. Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering).

Excellent command of oral and written English.

Knowledge of all phases of seismic acquisition including crew technical auditing, health safety and environmental auditing, program planning and forecasting, budgeting, and testing and quality control methodology.

Expert knowledge in the use of the seismic quality control software and other general software such as Microsoft office with some experience in the use of data bases.

Minimum Experience required: 9 years, Advance degree is preferred.

Candiate should posess following specific Experience:

Senior Seismic field quality control specialist.

Latest Sercel recording equipment.

Vibrator Control.

HSE knowledge.
