Engineering Manager– Aberdeen £45000 - £55000 + Car Allowance + Comprehensive Benefits package Prodrill Engineering Limited is currently recruiting a key staff position for one of their sister companies Sovereign Dimensional Survey. “Sovereign Dimensional Survey is an ambitious, energetic company who continually strive to be the leading provider of dimensional surveying services to the UK and international markets. Our company seeks to continually improve its service levels to customers through investment in people and technology” This role will report to the Operations Director at a critical time of development & growth. The main purpose of this role is to direct and control all UK and international engineering functions andworking closely with a team of 30 surveyors. Ensure that business objectives are met safely, effectively and efficiently within the bounds of company procedures and legislative requirements. About the role • Working closely with the Operations Director you will plan, develop and implement a strategy for operational engineering. • Meet agreed organisation performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales covering offshore and onshore services, project management and administration • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational engineering • Monitor measure and report on engineering issues, opportunities and development and achievements within agreed formats and timescales • Recruit, manage and develop direct reporting staff • Liaise with other staff so as to understand all the necessary aspects and needs of engineering development, and to ensure that they are fully informed of engineering objectives and achievements. • Maintain awareness and knowledge of up-to-date developments in the field of dimensional surveying and provide suitable interpretation and advice for action to directors, managers and staff • Ensure that activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health & safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duties of care. • Contribute to the evaluation and development of engineering, operational and organisational strategy and performance in collaboration with the Operations Director. About you During your career you will be able to demonstrate: • Comprehensive experience gained within an engineering discipline • Knowledge and experience of dimensional surveying • Experience with the oil & gas sector beneficial although not essential • Procedure driven, introduction and development of Quality Management Systems, demonstrating good attention to detail • Staff management including resource planning • Understanding of the principles of finance and accounting • Be able to communicate and converse with existing /developing new clients of all levels • Strong decision making skills Development This role may suit an ambitious individual who is eager to develop their management experience.
