Organization/DepartmentThe Company is operating as a regional upstream oil and gas in the United Arab Emirates engage in the acquisition, exploration and development of petroleum concessions; and the production and sale of crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas.
Job descriptionPURPOSE OF JOB:
To develop and produce the hydrocarbon reserves of the Mubarek Field and the surrounding area safely, efficiently and profitably.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Conduct all operations in a manner that will be a credit to the Company, its employees and the Emirate of Sharjah.
2. Ensure operations are efficient, safe, cost effective and result in a profitable investment.
3. Avoid adverse effects on the environment.
4. Provide job satisfaction and a healthy and safe work-place for employees.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all Company facilities, associated equipment and materials are of proper design are operated and maintained to minimize risk to health, safety and the environment.
2. Maintain safe working practices and a safe working for all production, oil and gas export, pipelines and flow lines, drilling and well related activities.
3. Achieve optimum utilisation, effectiveness, and efficiency of all field and resources to meet business needs based personnel and production plans.
4. Enforce Company and Statutory HSE Standards personnel and requirements in minimizing loss and risk to personnel and assets.
Tasks:
1. Maintain management system of policies/ standards /procedures /reporting structure.
2. Approve planning systems and documents, e.g.6 Quarter, Monthly, Weekly plans.
3. Approve resource allocation, training programs & human resource management decisions and standards.
4. Set production targets.
5. Approve well servicing programs.
6. Approve annual budget and work program.
7. Approve contracts and work programs of outside vendors and contractors.
8. Inform General Manager and other departmental heads of ongoing field activities.
9. Provide liaison and support to other departments, as required.
RequirementsEngineering Degree or equivalent with 15 years in operations combining drilling, production, and a practical site engineering role with 10 years supervisory and management experience.
