System Administrator I - (Unix)

Job Description:
UNIX System Administration – Building/patching of HP Servers, administration of MC Service Guard, troubleshooting, general network administration. Must understand UNIX commands needed to support an SAP system. Must be able to do rudimentary UNIX level monitoring to identify common problems that occur in UNIX. Must be able to do basic shell scripting needed to support an SAP environment.
SAP Performance Management and Troubleshooting - Must be skilled in identifying & resolving SAP performance related problems in a reasonable timeframe, including SAP Profile & Parameter maintenance. Should additionally be knowledgeable in tuning UNIX and Oracle; must be able to quantify to UNIX Admin and/or DBA an explanation of potential issues, to collaborate on a solution.

System Copies - Must be knowledgeable in System Copy alternatives and understand the components that need to be copied as well as the process required to perform the copy. Must understand and be able to execute all Post Copy steps related to SAP.

Job Scheduling - Must be knowledgeable in Job Scheduling & management, including appropriate use of resources & troubleshooting.
