Project Services Manager - (Asst. Project Manager)

Reports administratively to the General Manager - Mexico and functionally to the Manager of Project Controls - Americas

Role:

Overall direction of the Project Controls organization at the Altamira, Mexico fabrication facility including the planning, scheduling, estimating, cost control, contract administration, change management and control, progress measurement, risk analysis, document control, and administration functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinates with project management to ensure company business and financial interests are considered and optimized during project execution.

• Prepare project planning documents, quarterly project forecasts, and project status reports or other documents required by senior management to ensure ongoing projects are effectively controlled.

• Coordinates with the project managers and project controls managers to recruit and develop project controls organizations that effectively support project requirements.

• Ensures that the authorities and responsibilities of project-specific personnel are consistent with the requirements of JRM policies and procedures.

• Develops and maintains overall project controls systems, plans and procedures that are consistent with the requirements of JRM policies and procedures.

• Implements project control procedures that are appropriate for each respective project and are in compliance with client requirements.

• Develops and implements mechanisms to enhance the performance and development of project controls staff including the appropriate leadership, eliminating barriers for effective performance, coaching, conflict resolution, career development and performance appraisal.

• Serves as focal point with client for financial, audit and tax matters
Job Requirements:

* Basic 15 – 20 years of progressive experience in project management and controls disciplines including 5 – 10 years in managerial role. Prior experience in overseas environment preferred.
* Experience in implementation and administration of effective planning, cost control, change management and forecasting systems.
* Knowledge of Primavera and Microsoft Office software.
