An exciting opportunity exists to join the Brownfields Commissioning team as a Commissioning Team Leader.
The Brownfields group undertakes a variety of minor and medium projects on the GWA and NRA platforms and the Karratha Gas Plant.
The Commissioning group supports those projects by providing guidance on Project execution and handover logic and then performs the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up phases of the Projects. This is a key development role and opportunity to get exposure to Projects and Operations.
Basic Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager the role is responsible for liaising with the Project teams to define the commissioning strategies and handover milestone requirements, verification prior to commissioning and start-up, and for the definition and preparation of commissioning and start-up procedures.
Site visits along with leading the commissioning offshore and at the gas plant is also required.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on the offshore assets as well as the gas plant, and become familiar with Project execution and other engineering and construction disciplines.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Liaise with Project Engineering and Implementation groups to define the implementation and commissioning logic to ensure a smooth and effective handover and commissioning of individual systems, to the final Project.
* Development of budgets, schedules and plans to deliver commissioning services
* Maintain an overview of all Greenfield and Brownfield construction and installation activities to ensure appropriate handover condition with appropriate verification, ensuring the ability to commissioning and start-up the project as an integrated system.
* Establish a working relationship with the Operations Representative(s) and facility Operations, to ensure their requirements at handover, and during commissioning and performance testing, are met.
* Supervise the production of commissioning and start-up workpacks and schedule the commissioning activities into the facility plans.
* Identify the hazards and environmental impacts associated with the commissioning phases and manage those hazards appropriately in consultation with projects and Operations HSE personnel.
* Supervise and coordinate at site the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of systems
* Responsibility for supervision and development of commissioning engineers assigned to that facility
Qualifications
* Mid level experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, in the Process, instrument, controls or Facilities disciplines.
* Commitment to the highest HSE standards associated with working in the hydrocarbon industry and site work.
* Have demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and oral.
* A willingness to learn and take on the challenges associated with commissioning.
