Description
We are seeking expressions of interest from suitable candidates to provide the Contracts management and Contracts Engineering expertise associated with onshore and offshore projects.
Typical responsibilities or areas of contribution include:
• Anticipating project risks and incorporating appropriate contractual allocation of those risks;
• Reviewing all documents from a projects perspective, and utilizing this experience to ensure that commercial position is optimized;
• Participating in the assessment and selection of the key site contractors;
• Ensuring appropriate use is made of the services provided by other business units;
• Reviewing and contributing to the development of scopes of work and conditions of contract for key site contracts and project contracting strategies and plans;
• Ensuring the contract documents are utilized appropriately by the Pluto team in full compliance with the relevant corporate procedures and processes
• Oversee the tendering, evaluation and award of all project contracts; and
• Supervise, administering and reporting the contractual aspects of major contracts, including managing the Pluto Teams and liaising with Legal, Insurance and Tax.
Management of commercial issues by:
• Providing assistance to the Project Leadership team in respect of commercial/contracting issues;
• Ensuring commercial/contracting issues arising in relation to other business units are dealt with appropriately;
• Assessing, reviewing with the project team and stakeholders, making recommendations on contractor claims for variations and extension of time;
• Providing the Project Leadership team with appropriate progress updates on contractor performance;
• Assisting the Project Leadership team with the resolution of contract or issues and disputes;
• Ensuring that the commercial requirements of all contracts are met including payments of contractors, security and releases;
• Ensuring the insurance arrangements for the project are in place; and
Previous experience with a similar role in construction of major projects in the resources industry would be an ideal background for these roles. Long term and contract roles available.

Candidates are expected to be motivated, customer driven, and have a proven track record in delivering to targets. In addition, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, strong leadership and performance management skills combined with a committed team approach are fundamental for success.
