Think Purpose
As the Electrical Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day electrical maintenance activities as well as maintaining the safety, integrity and safe operation of Nickel Refinery equipment.
Working daily with a team of Electrical/Instrumentation technicians, the Electrical Supervisor is responsible for daily allocation of tasks, rostering, reporting and general supervision of the team. Key relationships include the Engineering and project teams, and the Maintenance Superintendents.
This position is required to be the electrical licence holder for the site.
The Electrical supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all electrical tasks are performed safely and within budget and that the use of facilities and equipment is appropriate to safe work methods and statutory requirements ensuring the contribution of the team to KNR safety programs and initiatives.
Think Requirements
The successful applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to take a leadership role within a team environment. The ability to delegate is a must.
Significant post trade experience in a processing or chemical plant is required, with a preference for experience in a supervisory role.
Electrical trade skills will include experience working with high voltage & low voltage equipment, VSD speed control, PLC’s and process control instruments in addition to strong fault finding skills.
Necessary qualifications include an A grade electrical license. A dual qualification in electrical and instrumentation would be highly regarded. Computer literacy is essential and exposure to SAP would be beneficial.
