Junior Developer
METALLOYS - MEYERTON, VAAL TRIANGLE, GAUTENG
An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an energetic, initiative-driven and quality focussed individual to become part of a high performance Business Information Team. This position offers Junior Developers a chance to advance their knowledge and gain valuable technical skills; being responsible for software design and development as well as software implementation, support and quality assurance. In particular the role will focus on designing and building enterprise Business intelligence / data warehouse systems.
Your responsibilities will include analysing data, designing, developing, testing, installing and modifying BI operation specific software, using required methods, procedures and standards to meet technical specifications.
To be considered for this role, you must be in possession of a formal data management or related IT qualification and it is essential that you understand database design and the normalisation of data structures. The following experience is also required for the position:
- writing SQL statements
- experience of SQL server integrations services (SSIS)
- OLAP experience,
- SQL server analysis services (SSAS)
- Knowledge of the basics around Reporting services function
- previous DTS experience would be advantageous.
