ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure activities fully comply with BHP Billiton Petroleum HSEC policies, procedures and standards.

• Ensure activities fully comply with BHP Billiton Petroleum business conduct policies.

• Responsible for the following direct reports:

• Production Material Coordinator (Contractor) - Houma, LA

• Production Material Specialist (Contractor) - Houma, LA

• Ensure existing cross-functional inventory optimization processes and procedures are used within the Gulf of Mexico region.

• Guarantee receipts, transfers and issues of materials are conducted in compliance with BHP Billiton Petroleum requirements.

• Ensure controlled materials are catalogued within the SAP Materials Management module.

• Ensure offshore and onshore controlled inventory is accurately and fully identified, stored and recorded within the SAP Materials Management module.

• Ensure inventory is stored within a clean, safe and efficient environment.

• Ensure QA/QC management plan is in place and required preservation or maintenance of materials is performed.

• Provide a process for tracking and expediting repair items and critical materials, providing regular status information to the relevant team representatives.

• Assist in fulfilling any internal or external audit responses.

• Ensure real-time/accurate inventory level reports are available to key stakeholders.

• Coordinate all required periodic physical inventory/stock count, reviewing inventory levels and storage conditions.

• Refine inventory levels. Identify surplus, obsolete, unfit for use and/or non-certificated items to minimize inventory levels.

• Participate in planning meetings, contributing information on inventory levels and conditions.

• Contribute to the evaluation, selection and management of suppliers and contractors.

• Ensure the onsite hazardous materials register and Materials Safety Data Sheets are maintained, where needed, as per the requirements of the HSEC Plan.

• Perform emergency response activities in accordance with the Facility ERP.

• Participate in HSEC meetings, toolbox meetings, JSAs, local audits and emergency exercises as required by Company standards and procedures.

• Coordinate with the onshore and offshore facilities to ensure suitable supply and logistics activities are maintained.

• Efficiently and effectively control inventory to minimize costs associated with surpluses, unnecessary items, expired goods, damaged equipment, etc.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Purpose:

The Production Materials & Logistics Supervisor is accountable for onshore and offshore materials management in support of the Gulf of Mexico Production Unit.
AUTHORITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• Gulf of Mexico Materials and Logistics Manager

• Gulf of Mexico Operations Leadership Team

• Gulf of Mexico Operations Offshore Installation Managers

• Gulf of Mexico Production Unit Warehouse Team

• Supply Team

• Materials Coordinator (2) - Contract Positions
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Engineering, Materials Management, Business Management or related field

Experience

• Sound computer skills. Knowledge of SAP is imperative

• Minimum of 5 years experience in offshore Oil & Gas industry in a materials and logistics environment

• Proven leadership, management and supervisory skills

• Good personal / interpersonal skills and ability to work in flexible environment.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of business planning and financial management and reporting
