Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

- Generates SAP reports on Labour hours, outstanding production hours, Scraps and Production orders status for analysis.
- Formulate shopfloor production plans through information from outstandingproduction hours and weekly BAH planned hours where on time delivery is the top priority.
- Execute the plan to meet weekly and monthly BAH, O/T, annual leave, efficiency, downtime, scraps plan numbers.
- Identify the skills level of each machinist and distribute suitable work tasks to achieve higher thru’put.
- Identify bottle-neck situation and move machinists to affected areas.
- Improve changeover time and reduce scraps as per plan.
- Liaise and work closely with all cross-functional teams to meet customers’ due-dates, achieve high output, and maintain low WIP through a well thought plan.
- Develop, implement and conduct training to increase competency or upgrading of skills for machinists.
- Co-ordinates with Maintenance technicians to ensure Preventive Maintenance or all other Maintenance Requests are attended to timely.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement on tooling and processes.
- Perform 1st piece verification as per QM Part 2.
- Ensure that operations within his area of responsibility are in accordance with the HS&E policy and objectives.
- Establish and maintain safe work practices and procedures.
- Perform other assignments and duties as required.

Accountabilities:

- Meet Production Schedule and achieve BAH plan.
- Ensure the day to day operations is smooth and efficient.
- Meet or over-achieve individual/team/departmental goals.
- Responsible for the development of his machinists.
- Ensure the working environment is neat, tidy and safe at all time.
- Responsible for the machinists to follow good work practices and report sub-standard conditions to enhance safety.

Education/Experience:

Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with at least 3 years' supervisory experience or Diploma in Production or Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years' supervisory experience in a metal machining Industry, preferably in a job shop production environment.

Skills Requirement:

- Ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Good Knowledge in cutting tools technology, measuring instrument and inspection methodology
- Familiar with CNC programming, set-up and its operation
- Good Planner, self motivated and possess strong drive to succeed.
