Weir Oil & Gas division, is a leader in the repair and refurbishing of rotating equipment, both in-shop and on-site. Whether it''s an emergency breakdown, a complete overhaul or a scheduled shutdown, Weir Canada, Inc. staff are trained to repair and restore even the most worn out mechanical equipment to new, or often ''better than new'' condition. In our Edmonton Service Centre we presently have an opportunity available, in our location for the a Business Development Manager. Responsibilities Reporting to the Sales Manager, Western Region, you will work in areas of business development related to substantial mechanical projects in the oil and gas, mining, pulp & paper, and oil sands industry sectors. You will search out opportunities on projects that relate to the current work scope that the Weir Oil and Gas division provides. Study mechanical projects through engineering companies, projects posted on the internet and investigate opportunities provided through the sales department. You must have experience to determine what resources are required to capitalize on the opportunity working within a budget to maximize project profits. Requirements - Possess a Mechanical Engineering degree with a Project Management Professional designation - Familiarity with Project Management principles. - Strong experience in Asset Management, Public Speaking and Presentation skills. - Technical Sales Professional with 10 years of experience in the repair of mechanical rotating equipment. - Significant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with substantial contacts. - Extensive knowledge in Project Management - Strong written and oral communication skills - Hand on Autocad and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge. - Knowledge of MS Project is an asset. - Organized and detail oriented. - Results driven individual with an history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
