Compensation and Bonus Potential Commensurate with Skills and Experience
Independent oil and gas company engaged in exploring, developing and enhancing oil and gas properties seeks Operations Manager to be senior technical representative for company. This position will be responsible for managing oil and gas operations, well and facility design and construction, drilling/completions/workovers, stimulations, artificial-lift optimization, and daily production operations. The candidate will have the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel (field staff, executive management, and surface land owners)
Responsibilities:
Management of field production staff & office petroleum engineer.
Completion and workover procedure design and writing.
Vendor screening, field work costing, AFE preparation.
Oversight of well and facilities field work as needed. Field visits to review progress and assure quality
Artificial lift analysis, selection, and optimization.
Down-hole flow system analysis (NODAL analysis).
Surface pipe sizing, design, de-bottlenecking.
Surface facility design – separation, storage, pumping, compression.
Facilities optimization, monitor well performance and work with field staff to trouble-shoot and improve operational efficiency.
Provide technical support to reservoir engineer during study and reserves work.
Oversight of drilling operations.
Apprising executive management & company Board as required.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred or Bachelors degree in other engineering field with significant oil & gas experience, or non-technical degree considered for individual with superior oil and gas experience.
10 years oil and gas experience.
Strong understanding of down-hole production equipment, surface facilities, rod-pumping, ESPs, plungers, and gas-lift, well stimulation techniques including hydraulic fracturing and acidizing, and well intervention techniques involving workover rigs, coiled tubing, perforating, and cementing.
Proficient in MS-Office software suite/strong computer skills.
Geological knowledge.
Familiarity with open-hole electric log analysis, drilling techniques and terminology, and oil and gas leasing.
