LNG Development - Electrical Engineer

With major LNG projects currently under construction and a pipeline of future LNG developments, our goal is to be a global leader in liquefied natural gas production by 2015.

Woodside’s LNG Development group is at the heart of this exciting future and is charged with the initiation, front end concept selection studies and establishing the basis for project execution for the Pluto, North West Shelf, Sunrise and Browse LNG projects.

We offer the breadth of possibilities in the LNG industry; greenfield onshore developments, brownfield expansions, offshore floating LNG, operating plant debottlenecking and upgrade. This diversity offers the chance for an individual to continue, or build, a career in LNG, based in Perth, but with potential for work operational locations including overseas.

As Woodside is currently in various stages of development of three world scale, major LNG developments, we are currently looking to hear from Electrical Engineers with varying levels of experience.

In these roles you will:

* Develop front end engineering design of electrical components for LNG facilities and associated utilities
* Provide electrical input within the project phase of front end engineering design and detailed design
* Electrical infrastructure supporting LNG and associated utilities
* Perform power system studies
* Power generation design
* Variable speed drive technology
* Electrical network control system
* Hazardous area electrical equipment
* LNG facilities operator as electrical island
* Work in a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

* You will hold a Electrical Engineering degree
* You will have strong oil & gas and/or refining experience
* Previous LNG experience will be highly regarded
