Location: Saudi Arabia POSITION DESCRIPTION: The candidate will be assigned to operate various complex laboratory equipment operated under high pressures and/or temperatures to: 1. study the petrophysical and mechanical properties of reservoir cores, or 2. identify chemical characteristics and study phase behavior of reserovir fluids, or 3. identify oil-oil and oil-source rock correlations, or 4. develop and optimize drilling fluids and cement slurries, or 5. evaluate the impact of new chemical additives to the drilling fluids on well productivity and formation damage, or 6. evaluate, optimize and design the most effective wellbore stimulation treatments.
The candidate will be expected to work in teams as well as independently in the lab or the oil field, generate and analyze the required test data, and report interpretation. Candidate will also be expected to support field operations, as dictated by work needs, at any of Saudi Aramco fields and for any extended number of days or weeks, involve in team works and generate valuable data and recommendations.
SELECTION CRITERIA: 10 years of work related experience or B.S. or higher in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering, Geology, Petroleum Geology, Organic Geochemistry, or Chemistry (less preferred). Good interpersonal skills including the ability to contribute in a team environment and independently. Excellent command of English language, both oral and written. Good computer skills, especially in M.S. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
