Production Technologist

As a Production Technologist, youll be required to perform several important tasks, including the following: • Perform inflow-outflow calculations to determine well rates, tubing size and lift tables • Build and update well and production system models • Perform sand failure prediction calculation and select optimum sand control method • Knowledge and experience in water shut off projects • Knowledge and experience in stimulation projects • Perform conceptual and detailed well completion design • Identify opportunities and assess value of intelligent wells and fields through the development of business case • Agree the Terms of Reference and prepare a work scope for projects, including detail proposals • Work in one or more integrated project teams to deliver high quality technical solutions on time • Recommend appropriate new and fit for purpose technologies • Ensure all work is properly Quality Controlled by the appropriate technical authorities, the findings are documented and action items formally closed-out • Provide technical coaching to less experienced Production Technologists.

The candidate should have a bachelors degree in petroleum engineering or equivalent discipline. Should have good experience on well modelling, analysing well performance and conceptual well design. With broad production technology and related petroleum engineering experience, youll possess a proven ability to recognise and assess the key issues pertaining to the development and subsequent management of a field.

This role demands a good technical working knowledge of basic production technology techniques, sound understanding of well construction, workover and abandonment operations and good knowledge of production system optimisation. Youll have the confidence to work with minimum supervision and support along with the ability to manage and mentor others and to disseminate technology.
