IMMEDIATE NEED for a Mechanical Designer to work for a leading manufacturing company in Southwest, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical design and drafting of company products. Essential duties include producing mechanical designs and drawings for new product contracts working with project engineers to ensure compliance with contract specifications and all applicable standards. Monitoring and controlling drafting time against estimates and schedules. Maintaining drafting standards. Checking drawings as agreed within the department. Ensuring compliance with company Quality Management System. Assuring proper entry of all bills of material into computer system as dictated by the needs of the project. In addition, any other duties as requested by the Engineering Designer. Candidate must be proficient using AutoCAD and Inventor. Some experience of steel fabrication, machining, welding, piping, etc. preferred. Client offering competitive salary and benefits with this opportunity.
