Job descriptionQA/QC Engineer – Provide support and assistance to the project, through the execution phases of fabrication and construction, with respect to ensuring that quality responsibilities are carried out throughout the execution of the work.
Accountabilities
•Provide overall assurance with respect to the Project Quality Management System, Project Quality Plan, and procedures.
•Provide guidance on quality requirements for fabrication and construction contracts.
•Assure the Project audits and reviews are scheduled on a regular basis to keep in line with Project needs and validate follow up/close out action.
•Develop a schedule of high risk / essential supplier, contractor and sub contractor quality surveillance visits and perform, or participate in key contractor quality audits and reviews.
•Provide Quality status reporting on a regular basis or against agreed metrics and issues.
•Assist, as appropriate, in providing compliance with regulatory / statutory / governmental requirements.
•Provide support for the Project Verification Scheme and Performance Standards activities.
•Input to and update the Project Risk Register (quality input) on a regular basis.
•Steward Quality Plans for the fabrication and construction programme reviewing document deliverables, and follow up on the Quality Surveillance Programme of the fabrication and construction sub contractors.
•Monitor the Project Deviation Process and ensure that registers are being regularly updated with evidence of TA input.
•Provide input into the assessment of Project Surveillance / Inspection resources for construction activities.
•Interface with the Commissioning Team to assure the Construction Quality Management System supports Flawless Project Delivery objectives.
•Implement Quality Alert system to support Knowledge Management across the project team, and with key contractors / sub contractors.
•Review of contractor quality plans and inspection and test plans to ensure adequate hold and witness points have been identified to ensure appropriate levels of control are being applied.
•Ensure Lessons Learned processes are implemented at appropriate points during the execution of the work.
•Remain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout construction, commissioning and start-up.
•Contribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the project life cycle.
•Coordinate Project Change Control Register.

RequirementsExtensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
Engineering degree or recognized technical qualification.
Broad project and quality management experience in the onshore / offshore fabrication and construction aspects of the oil and gas industry, and / or other major technical / process industries.
Experience with ISO 9001 implementation.
Fluent in English, written and spoken; knowledge of French beneficial
Other remarksRotation 28/28, working 7 days per week (10 hour days)
Accommodation and transport on site provided.
