Description:CCL has been requested by a major EPIC contractor to provide a Senior Contracts Specialist to be based in the London area. Client would prefer candidates who live locally or within easy traveling distance. Must be willing to travel as and when required by Client. Attractive terms and conditions to be negotiated with the successful individual.
Qualifications:Minimum HND and preferably degree qualified - QS / Law / Business Management. Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role. Articulates views in comprehensive manner. Produces work of presentable quality. Good interpersonal skills. Must have good Excel skills and Numeracy. Can articulate learning and training experiences. Have done work of a similar nature. SAP useful but not essential. Will be required to demonstrate a proactive approach to contract management and may be required to develop, implement and establish commercial control systems. Relevant previous experience in a commercial / contracting environment with strong commercial awareness and effective negotiation skills. Self-motivated team player with excellent management skills. Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience:Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a commercial / contracting environment, preferably in the Subsea oil and gas business, however Client will consider other industry sectors including: Civil, IT, Military, Telecoms. Key duties: Provide Project Manager with accurate summaries of contract related matters. Tenders, evaluation and award of subcontracts. Administration of bank bonds, parent company guarantees and insurance certificates. Leads the resolution of contractual financial disputes and co-ordinate Project VOR's and management of change. Monitors and controls contract variances identified within the project. Ensures seamless integration between purchasing and sub-contract activities. Provides guidance on contract / commercial requirements to the project team. Keeps the project personnel aware of contractual obligations and objectives.
