Computer Engineer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: B.S. in Computer Engineering.

Experience: 12 years of continuously progressive engineering. In addition, the candidate should have extensive experience in designing or studying modifications to existing software and hardware of oil processing, oil handling facilities, or similar industries, residences, and utilities. Further, the candidate should be able to design computer requirements for new facilities of the types mentioned. He should also possess a strong analytical ability in problem solving, solid background in managing projects, experience in preparing & publishing technical articles, and work experience with a multi-national workforce.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

Initiate or conduct special studies for improving facilities or operation.

Provide special technical services in recognized engineering fields.

Act as a consultant on complex engineering problems.

Design, construct, and commissions new facilities.

Coordinate or direct work of other engineers.

Provide technical services to company process units and oil handling facilities.

Coordinate engineering work to solve major problems in crude oil processing facilities.

Review capital budget items for technical quality.

Further, the ideal candidate should be/have:

Competent in the Programmable Logical controller (PLC) in ladder logic and functional blocks logic, Boolean logic formats

More than 5 years experience in the Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) systems (software and hardware) in particular Triplex Regent / Trusted and Triconnex Systems

More than 5 years experience in DCS control systems hardware and software for Process control logic development in particular Fisher Provox and Delta V control systems

More than 5 years experience in Advanced process Control Applications and supervisory control such as Aspen Tech, Energy Expert systems, Compressor Expert Systems

Experience in Oil processing facilities for process control such as tuning control valves (PID loops) apply different process control schemes such as feed forward, cascade loops, complex control logics, control logic for batch processes.

Experience in Oil and Gas processing shutdown and protection requirements for process and related equipment.

Incumbents may be rotating between various operation, maintenance, and engineering support staff in the plants.
