Requirement:

- Welding inspection (preference given to CWI certified or similar experience)

- ASME D 1.1 welding code

- AWS codes

- ISO 9001

- International Codes specific to welding.

- Experienced on coordinating inspector activities across several packages

- Managing supplier / contractors.

- Working with client integrated teams.

- Review of Technical Specifications

- Interpreting Standards, Codes,

- Interpreting drawings

- Review of Inspection Test Plans, Weld Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Reports and the like.

- Be client focused having a professional approach toward delivery of quality products

- Be self motivated while able to work in a team environment.

- Be able to coach and mentor inspectors and suppliers on best practice methods.

- Have excellent communications skills i.e. Spoken, Written, and Reporting

- Be computer literate with Microsoft suite of software.

- Have a current passport

Desirable but not essential:

- Certified non destructive testing i.e. UT, MT, PT, RT

- Chinese spoken Mandarin would be an advantage but not essential.

- Consultants or new applicants would be considered.

Additional Information:

- The work would be in the areas of Structural Steel, Materials Handling, Pressure Vessels, Cranes and various plate work
- The person would be P.R China Based (Shanghai) for the duration of the assignment while travelling to meet project requirements.
