MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BS Geophysics, Geology, Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering. An advanced degree will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year.

Experience: Generally a minimum of seven years expereince in Petroleum Geophysics or other discipline appropriate to the task. Fluent in spoken and written English.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out investigations into basic geophysical problems related to hydrocarbon exploration.

Assist with the development and implementation of strategies to optimize the quality and utilization of geophysical data.

Assist with the supervision and quality control of the acquisition, processing and interpretation of geophysical data.

Interpret geophysical and geological data to map prospective areas and define areas for further exploratory effort. Recommend appropriate action.

Develop and maintain computerized geophysical databases, and provide support for Exploration users.

Develop and evaluate geophysical computer applications and apply them to solving Exploration problems.

Train new personnel.
