POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide expert advise and management consulting services in situations where high level professional competence and business experience is a pre-requisite. Proactively identifies strategic gaps or opportunities in the organization, and proposes a consulting plan to identify and address root causes. Gathers, analyzes and presents data to internal organizational clients, and recommends solutions that fit within the client s culture, timeframe, strategic direction, and resources. Works closely with senior executives and key members of the organization to design and implement the solution so that the desired outcomes are achieved. Provides a variety of organization development services, including organization diagnosis, organization design, process redesign, change management, strategic planning, succession planning, team building, meeting design and facilitation, new leader transitions, executive coaching, survey design and analysis, and instructional systems design. The applicant must have an in-depth knowledge of safety issues and have already demonstrated a background in the safety environmental area. Projects undertaken will generally be Business Line level in terms of impact, but the incumbent will be required to collaborate with other business partners and external vendors to develop and deliver programs to meet specific business needs, as required. The incumbent of this position will be required to take a lead role and provide work direction to less experienced employees as required. The position will report to the Director of E&P Continuing Excellence.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Bachelor s degree in an Engineering discipline, Business, Industrial Management or other degree with relevant experience in the Organization Performance field.

A Master s degree or MBA is an advantage but not a pre-requisite.

Twelve (12) years relevant experience in internal or external management consulting. Managerial experience may be of advantage.

Must have Safety Licenses or a proven strong background in Industrial Safety issues. Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry an advantage.

Must be recognized by all levels of management as an expert.
