MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: B.S. Degree in a Science/Engineering Discipline. PhD/MS Chemical Engineering preferred.

Experience: Typically has thirteen (13) years of professional experience including at least five (5) years as a specialist with full responsibility for major technical work. Minimum 5 to ten years of experience including 5 years of experience related to gas processing technical service, research or engineering. Recognized both by management and colleagues as an expert in incumbent s field. Incumbent will have achieved substantial industry recognition in area of expertise. Normally will have published in significant technical journals and will have a history of active participation in technical society activities.

Other experience: Professional laboratory skills. Mathematical modeling, data analysis and statistics. The ability to learn in new technical areas, to interpret results and to communicate findings with others. Sophistication of engineering judgment. Proficiency in speaking and writing English. Expertise in preparing and presenting oral and written papers.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Saudi Aramco Research & Development Center (R&DC) is developing a program to provide high end technical support for gas plants in Saudi Arabia in a range of areas including gas drying and amine scrubbing. A hands on, energetic engineer/scientist is needed for this position.

Successful candidate will be expected to:

- Conduct and supervise desiccant testing in the laboratory

- Have hands-on field experience

- Visit plants and conduct field pilot plant tests in a desiccant pilot plant

- Interacts with plant engineering divisions and central engineering in order to provide recommendations on desiccant selection

- Develop Saudi Aramco R&DC testing expertise in amine foaming

- Provide training and consultations to plant engineers in order to develop their expertise

- Collaborate with vendors to introduce new products or technologies to Saudi Aramco gas plants

- Coordinate sample analysis and interpretation of results with R&DC scientists

- Work closely with other members in the technical team as well as contract representatives and legal advisors

- Coordinate exchange and progress meetings with collaborators inside and outside Saudi Aramco

- Provide periodic progress reports and presentations to the management

- Mentor and oversee development of Saudi Arab staff in incumbent s area of specialty

- Exhibit character and integrity
