Electrical /Instrument QA/QC Inspector

• Field based Electrical / Instrument QA /QC inspector working within the COMPANY construction field management team responsible for supervising various contractors / sub contractors engaged in the implementation of range of production enhancement projects associated with the development of a desert based onshore oilfield

Major Duties/Tasks (day-to-day tasks & activities)
• Responsible by physical inspection of all electrical / instrument installations, ensuring that all Contractor personnel and workmanship is completed in accordance with approved designs, international codes, standards and COMPANY procedures.
• Responsible for providing guidance to contractor and witness all electrical / instrument testing and commissioning activities.
• Responsible for generating accurate, clear and concise inspection/QA/QC reports.
• Responsible for the identification of positive or negative progress including non-conformances and feedback to QA /QC Team Leader, Construction Site manager or construction supervisor.
• Responsible for coordinating with the various contractors to ensure that the approved Health & Safety / QA/QC procedures and the Quality Plan are implemented during inspection activities
• Provide input to COMPANY’s near miss and incident reporting system
• Provide input to company progress reporting systems as required.
• Responsible for supervising the contractor in the compilation of the handover and test packs together with all as-built documentation and that all inspection and test sheets are completed correctly.

Requirements (Minimum education required, background, experience, skills)
• Must posses 10 years relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years direct experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar QA / QC capacity within the facilities and construction environment.
• For this position proven experience in the construction of HV / LV power distribution systems and hook-up of major equipment is mandatory.
• Must possess a detailed knowledge of materials and associated certification requirements.
• It is envisaged that candidates will have a recognized engineering qualification ( diploma or similar) but the ability to demonstrate proven experience and an excellent track record in a similar environment is considered to be of equal or greater importance.
• Must posses the ability to read and understand Process, Electrical / Instrument drawings which as a minimum include P& I D’s, General arrangements, single line diagrams, block diagrams, interconnection diagrams and loop drawings.

Personal Requirements:
• Strong team player with good interpersonal and management skills
• Ability to effectively interact with management, construction and engineering contractors, vendors and any other COMPANY departments to facilitate flow of information
• Must be PC literate and skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as minimum
• Must possess the ability to handle multiple assignments with a focus on meeting deadlines and with delivery of quality project.
