Derivatives Market Specialist

Location: UAE
To Manage and Support Treasury Department by administrating Derivatives function in order to assist COMPANY; to be least exposed on Financial Risk, be competitive in Share market and provide excellent returns to Stakeholders in an efficient and effective manner within the defined policy and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design and execute derivative solutions under the guidance from Reporting Head. Measure and Monitor Company’s exposure to changes in foreign exchange levels and interest rates on an ongoing basis. Take appropriate measures and action as required by the Reporting Head.

• Review pricing models in fixed income, equity, commodity, FX and credit derivatives, Assess model risk and advice on model reserves. Provide accurate and timely comprehensive information reports and troubleshoot issues and problems aroused.

• Analyze derivative hedging models and strategies. Oversee and develop the operational derivatives and hedging capability of the firm

• Implement appropriate and approved hedging programs to the VP Treasury for implementation with the related department in assisting organization on Financial Risk, and remain competitive in the Share market. Keep abreast with the Market movements and measure hedging effectiveness and its efficiency on a periodical basis. Submit reports for management review and decision making.

• Manage the operations process for all swap transactions, including credit default swaps, total return swaps and interest rate swaps. Be responsible for the booking, allocation and settlement of all swap transactions, including management of the payment process and timely acquisition of confirmations.

• Manage continual improvement via process reviews and re-engineering. Translate new business requirements into functional specifications as needed Understand and stay current on key business requirements Present tailored solutions to VP Treasury to satisfy firm's needs

• Establish/negotiate agreements with appropriate counter-parties including lines of credit. Assist with determining/documenting proper accounting treatment.

• Manage the development of cutting edge analytics, tools and models for internal business units. Develop Excel models to structure and model solutions, execute transactions and provide desk support.

• Manage the building of default probability models.

• Provide analytical support to the Asset Specialist / Dealing Team and Operating Divisions.

• Execute all addition task levied time to time by the Reporting Head within the defined Policy and Procedures.

• Manage continual improvement via process reviews & process reengineering

• External: Financial Institutes, Consultants and Governmental Bodies, Bank Representatives, etc

IV Qualifications and Skills:

• Post Graduate Degree in Finance
• Derivatives Fundamental Course Certificate ( Futures or options Licensing Course)
• Technical Analysis Course / Certificate
• Financial Markets – Risk Management Courses
• Detailed Knowledge of Derivative Trading & processing of functional Areas
• Ability to learn & support the Derivatives Market
• Must be technical savvy & self sufficient
• Strong ability to map conceptual financial and business elements to practical system capabilities
• Understand the competitive offering landscape in the derivatives market
• Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, Presentation skills need to be flawless & convincing
• Willingness & ability to travel as required
• Good Understanding of Derivative Market
• Thorough Knowledge of General Ledger Accounting System, PC Spreadsheet (Excel, Access) applications and Cash Management Services.
• Ability to independently analyse complex problems and resolving skills
• Change Management Skills
• Efficient Project Management Skills
• Excellent Time Management Skill
• Flexible and “can-do”, attitude.
• Ability to provide accurate, timely & comprehensive information.
• Language Skills: English and Arabic
Experience:

• With minimum 5-7 Years of work experience in Derivative function in a reputed MNC.
