MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience: B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 10 years field experience working in GOSP and Desalting Facilities and also Gas

Compression Plants.

- Membership in the appropriate Society of chemical or Process Engineer considered a plus.

- Have 10 years experience working as a Process Engineer in the operation of GOSPs, Desalting Plants and Gas compression Plants.

- The candidate should also have experience in water production and treatment facilities.

- Experience using HYSIS and other process simulation software.

- Be able to diagnose plant process operational problems and take the lead responsibility for making engineering decisions or recommendations that will resolve those problems.

- Must have direct experience in developing and troubleshooting process simulation models developed using HYSIS.

-Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.


Position Description

Successful candidate will be expected to:

- Troubleshoot and resolve upstream oil and gas facility process problems.

- Training of PDP s and less experienced Junior Engineers will be required.

- Experience in the use of HYSIS to develop simulation models for plant facilities.

- Review current plant operating practices for energy efficiency and participate in plant energy audits and conservation programs.

- Participate in design or study of mechanical codifications to oil processing and utility facilities.


Selection Criteria

- B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 10 years field experience working in GOSP and Desalting Facilities and also Gas

The Ras Tanura Technical Support Unit (RTTSU) is part of NAPOE which is responsible for providing technical support and engineering services to the operation and maintenance divisions under the Northern Area Producing Organization.

The RTTSU specifically, provides engineering and design services at the request of its proponents of NAOO Organization. The engineering design work encompasses small to medium sized process plant and facility modifications.

The RTTSU has specialized expertise in the areas of piping, process engineering, rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation and Process Control System design available as needed by any NAP organization. The RTTSU also serves as the custodian of all PTP plant drawings.
