Lead Drilling Engineer

Location: Africa
Lead Drilling Engineer required for an initial 12 month contract, although the project is expected to last for 2-3 years. Anticipated start date March 2008. The position will be offered on an expatriate position residentially based in Cairo, Egypt.

Essential Requirements;
- A degree in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering.
- Extensive drilling experience including considerable subsea/deepwater drilling experience.
- Proven track record in well design, casing design, directional drilling, drill string and BHA design.
- A high degree of computer literacy in MS Office suite as well as specialist casing and well design software.
- Ability to mentor national and less experienced engineers and colleagues.

Desirable Requirements
- Rig site supervision experience.
- Completion and well testing experience.
- Rig equipment design and installation experience.
- Contract management experience.
- International experience preferably in a joint operating company environment
