An international oil consultant is actively searching for Senior Oil Consultants in the Houston, TX area. The Senior Oil Consultants will help guide and develop the companys analytical and intellectual content and to represent the company to its clients. They will be actively involved in developing the companys consultancy content, act as mentor to more junior staff members, provide guidance in the preparation of regular reports and make regular presentations to clients. They will also be required to contribute to and help direct the companys increasing projects workload. Candidates need 10+ years experience in the oil industry, either directly in an oil company or in a consulting or financial company closely involved in the industry. A good knowledge of crude and/or refined products trading or of commercial refining operations is especially welcome. Must have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the factors that determine developments in international crude and products markets, the behavior and strategies of the companies involved and the processes involved in crude and products price formation. The candidate must have a strong academic background, preferably a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, and able to demonstrate clarity and originality of thought, be able to communicate and interact with clients at a senior level and contribute directly to the companys future growth. The position pays a very competitive salary, full benefits, 401K and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
