Facilities engineer needed for a fulltime opportunity with a major oil and gas producing company in Bakersfield, California. The successful candidate will have bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or a related discipline, a minimum of one year work experience in design of onshore oil and gas production and/or gas conditioning and processing facilities, fundamental knowledge in hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing and design, system design, and economic analysis concepts. Required knowledge of OSHA process safety management elements and program requirements, industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section 8, Div. 1 Pressure Vessel Code, etc.); as well as experience with rotating and stationary equipment, materials of construction, and process control elements and systems. Proficiency in oral and written communication is required as this role is performed in a multidiscipline team environment. The position supports reservoir development and ongoing operations including the design of new surface infrastructure elements; pipelines, compressor stations, pumping stations, and oil/water/gas separation, conditioning and processing facilities, as well as analyzing, troubleshooting, and refurbishing existing surface infrastructure elements for optimum utilization, and project planning and management of cost, schedule and performance.
