Health safety and environmental specialist needed for a full time position with a major oil and gas producing company in Hobbs, NM. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years working knowledge of oilfield production operations, health, environmental, and safety regulatory requirements at the federal, state and local levels, with emphasis on New Mexico and Texas as well as experience in company safety and environmental programs. Responsibilities include communicating and applying federal, state, local, and company HSE policies and requirements within operations, developing and implementing new and existing programs designed to promote improved HSE performance, audits and assessments, training, emergency response planning, internal and external reporting, conducting investigations, record-keeping, land owner relations, site remediation, focal point for regulatory and other government agencies and conducting team safety meetings.
