Description:CCL has been requested by a major EPC contractor to provide to a self starting Senior Process Engineer / Lead Process Safety Engineer to be based in Kazakhstan. Roles require business acumen and ability to lead a team of expat. engineers supporting Client's operation and maintenance team. Must be willing to travel / relocate as required by Client. Client will consider permanent or contract basis (duration of contract will be 3 years (under 1 year renewable contract). Good leave rotation. Excellent package / rates.
Qualifications:Ideal candidates will have relevant degree. Chartered status preferable. Knowledge of risk assessment, modelling and economic tools. Ability to work efficiently, demonstrate effective organisational skills and handle multiple tasks. Strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English as procedure writing a key component of role.
Experience:Minimum 15 years' experience of oil and gas installations ideally gained in onshore and offshore gas processing. Role includes: development of operation procedures and standing instructions; training, development and mentoring of local Kazakh engineers; troubleshooting; optimisation; production planning support; managing subcontractors; resource planning; technical support HAZOP, HAZID risk assessment, etc; process safety; management of change; corrosion management support; process engineering, studies, process modifications; point contact - coordination role with London office; developing plant support capability in local Kazakh office.
