POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide technical guidance, and training for laboratory technicians on new lab instruments, or new analytical procedures as per the latest international standard.

Review, modify, and implement training material/manuals.

Develop new lab technician competency program, and modify the current certification program as needed.

Provides professional advice and assistance in specialized areas of petroleum products, and technology.

Train laboratory technicians on the correct interpretation of test results, and how to detect, and correct abnormal test results.

Keeps current with significant developments in the field of specializations, and is expected to use these in upgrading quality of training provided for lab technicians.

Review, and evaluate the performance of lab technicians, and re-certify the laboratory technicians to perform specialized laboratory analysis.

Train lab technicians on plant processes in order to relate their work with plants process operational changes.

Train laboratory technicians according to the latest industry safety rules, and regulations.


SELECTION CRITERIA:

B.S degree in Chemistry or science major from a renown University or institute.

Minimum ten years of experience in refining laboratory area of work.

Certified manufacturer training certificates in technical fields.

Familiar with world class laboratory management.

High command of oral and written English language skills.

High command of Microsoft Office Programs, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
