POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The engineer will work as mechanical engineer in SAOO Plants. The engineer will provide technical and engineering support to rotating equipments issues for all plants under SAOO.
Some of the responsibilities of the engineer will be to:
Review all data related to rotating equipment in project proposals, design drawings, equipment specifications for new and upgrade projects.
Prepare rotating equipments detail design packages for plant modification and upgrades.
Work with vendor technical representatives to resolve equipment technical problems.
Inspect and commission new rotating equipment including vertical centrifugal pumps, horizontal centrifugal pumps, centrifugal compressors, and reciprocating compressors.
Participate in investigation teams for the analysis of individual failures related to rotating equipment. These failures include but not limited to: Mechanical Seals failures, Bearings high temperatures, Vibrations issues, and Misalignment related issues.
Assist and direct Maintenance technicians in troubleshooting rotating equipments related problems
SELECTION CRITERIA:
BS Mechanical Engineering.
Fluent in English, written and oral.
Minimum Experience: 8-9 years.
COMMENTS:
The engineer will work with Southern Area Oil Operations which oversees the operation and engineering activities of 30+ Gas Oil Separation Plants (GOSPs), 15 Water Injection Pumping Stations (WIPS), and the largest Seawater Treatment Plant in the world.
