Position Description
Medical Facilities Management Unit is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be involved in the operation and maintenance and Utility system replacement and upgrade projects of the Saudi Aramco Medical Service Organization Facility. The prospective candidate will work with a team of engineers from other Department, contractors and vendors in ensuring that Hospital Utilities are operating at its optimum with the aim of continued service to the patient s wellbeing.
The candidate will perform the following functions:
-Prepare scope of work on projects that needs implementation to be submitted to design or maintenance agency.
-Review design package and transmit comments to design agency for incorporation.
Conducts coordination/kick off meetings on projects under implementation.
-Liaise with Maintenance agency, contractors, vendors, inspection group, and Loss prevention Department to expedite compliance requirement in the completion of project.
-Coordinate shutdown of Utilities with Operation and Users to ensure that Medical service to staff is not affected.
-Prepare conceptual design on equipment or facility modification as needed.
-Provide technical support to resolve complex issues relative to mechanical equipment and new technology application.
-Prepare technical and analysis report relevant to the operation of the Organization s mechanical and utility systems.
-Provide technical training and skills to entry level engineers.
Selection Criteria
Candidate must have a Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years experience in mechanical engineering design, operation and maintenance and project management in Healthcare Facility setting. Strong background in design package review in Healthcare Mechanical system.
Must have knowledge in rotating equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and fire protection system.
Must be detail oriented, committed and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiar with building codes and other international standards such as NFPA, ANSI, ASHRAE, JCI, etc.
Working knowledge in Auto CADD (Micro Station) and other computer applications.
Good command of oral and written English.
Must be able to handle multiple projects that maybe on going at any given time.

Medical Facilities Management Unit (MFMU) is a part of Medical Plant Services Division/Medical Support Services Dept. MFMU is responsible for the coordination of the Operation and Maintenance and the planning, design and execution of Expense & Capital Projects, BI 1900 and minor renovation works for Saudi ARAMCO Medical Services Organization healthcare facilities throughout the Kingdom. Unit operates within Dhahran Health Center and had satellite offices in District Clinics. The Unit works in conjunction with its Maintenance Agency (UD), Ancillary Department within ARAMCO and various contractors and vendors in its day to day operation.
