Drilling Engineer

Aberdeen based, Drilling Engineer required for 2 years contract starting in July 2008. Your responsibilities will be: designs and prepares drilling and completion programmes for platform wells. Responsibilities include selection of casing points and sizes, casing design, drill string design, directional drilling, pore pressure prediction, drilling and completion fluid programmes, mud weight / fracture gradient analysis, and completion design. Evaluates design and operational alternatives to ensure most cost effective outcome. Preference will be given to a candidate with strong engineering skills, Certified to IWCF standards for surface and subsea well control.
