This position is a senior level Structural Engineering position for offshore oil and gas facilities. The successful candidate will perform analysis and design of offshore platforms including substructures and topsides.
Will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of engineering deliverables including design criteria, specifications, reports, studies, and insuring that structural design is accurately and completely represented on drawings.
Will lead other Structural Engineers and Designers on project structural teams.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate:
Must have both analysis and design capabilites.
Must be able to interact effectively with engineers in all disciplines, drafters / designers, project management team, internal and external customers.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Work experience: 7 to 10 years in Structural Engineering related to offshore oil and gas facilities.
Ability to function as project Lead Structural Engineer.
Particular skills as noted below.
Education: BS in Civil/Structural Engineering. MS or PhD is a plus.
Professional Engineer registration desirable. If not registered, should plan to work towards this after accepting employment.
