DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Stands engine room watch during specified time periods.
Observes gauges to determine that operating conditions, such as temperature, water and oil levels, and revolutions per minute are within specified ranges.
Adjusts controls to maintain specified operating conditions.
Records maintenance to equipment and machinery in accordance with the preventative maintenance program.
Cleans engines and engine room with solvent, broom, mop, and vacuum regularly.
Works a 12 hour shift in an offshore environment and adopts safety program of company.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Offshore experience in maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment, such as engines, pumps, hoists to locate malfunctions, and dismantles and repairs defective equipment using hand tools and power tools preferred.
1-3 years of experience in an offshore role preferred.
Offshore rotation is 28/14 working on derrick barges.
