Large engineering and design company has immediate need for three Process Mechanical Engineers at its suburban Bakersfield, CA location for temp-to-perm assignments. Ideal candidates will have a BSME or BSChE and 10-15 years experience in process engineering design with 5 - 10 years experience in oil and gas separation design (upstream production). Position will be responsible for developing separation process design, developing process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams; will perform calculations to specify equipment (pumps, compressors, separators, heaters, heat exchangers, columns, etc); will prepare data sheets and specifications for equipment procurement; will perform, hydraulic calculations; will work with controls engineer to develop control philosophy; participates in Hazop evaluations; develops operating procedures.
