Our client, a world leader in oil and natural gas explorations and production is looking for an EngineeringTechnician to serve on a multi-disciplined team with other Engineers, Geo Scientists, and operating personnel. Essential Job Duties:
• Provide data, information, and support to engineering and field operations staff.
• Input, maintain, QC, extract, manipulate, and analyze production surveillance data.
• Recognize variations, deviations, and opportunities from the data.
• Basic understanding of data flow through field and production accounting systems. Includes creating and utilizing spreadsheets and databases, screening and analyzing data, and generating plots, contour maps, bubble maps, and use of other analytical tools.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree or at least 2 years of applicable industry experience.
• Proficient at extracting, manipulating, correcting, and analyzing data (Access and Excel)
• Effective team player who takes an active role in team responsibilities
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimum of supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks.
• Field office experience or actual field experience.
• Knowledge and use of DSS, company Applications.
• Knowledge of company reserve process and program used to track changes (PEEP)
