Our client, a world leader in oil and natural gas explorations and production is looking for a Worldwide Production Surveillance Engineer to serve on a multi-disciplined team with other Engineers, Geo Scientists, and operating personnel.
Essential Job Duties:
Production Surveillance Leadership
• Lead the Production Surveillance Community of Practice
• Insure each Business Unit’s surveillance processes meet high standards through periodic reviews
• Determine metrics to measure the effectiveness of surveillance practices
• Evaluate practices that support enhancement of production surveillance, e.g. well testing methods and frequency
• Develop / identify training for production surveillance
• Proactively work with the Business Units to expand the knowledge of production surveillance and participation in the Community of Practice
• Maintain the Community of Practice Team site Business Development Project Support
• Participate on various “as needed” business development opportunity evaluation teams
• Assist in developing operating cost forecasts
• Evaluate well utility for future depletion plans
• Work with the team to recommend field development options
• Recommend completion designs Standards, Specifications, Guideline Development
• Assist in development of standards for well equipment, e.g. wellheads, down hole tubulars
• Assist in development of well completion and servicing standards / practices
Required Qualifications:
• Breadth of Production / Operations engineering experience with reservoirs under primary, secondary and tertiary depletion methods (10+ years oil industry experience)
• Knowledge of artificial lift methods and optimization
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Cost benefit analysis
• Ability to interact with a diverse set of people in multiple countries and time zones • Motivation and commitment building ability for teams
• Self-starter that is results/value oriented
• Deals well with ambiguity
• Knowledge of standard technical applications and data systems are a plus
Additional Desired Qualifications:
• Travel – 25% of time (domestic and international)
