Brainhunter Global Staffing has been retained by a number of Global EPC firms to augment their teams.
Starting in May 2008, they are looking to add a number of Sr Electrical Designers.
These are world class multi-million dollar domestic and international petrochemical and oil & gas projects.

Job Description:
• Design and draft drawings using computer drafting software
• Design single line diagrams for plant MV/LV power distribution system.
• Design various layouts such as substation, grounding, general plant, cable, cable tray, lighting and control panel and electrical equipment
• Design motor control schematics and area classification drawings.
• Prepare area classification drawings in conjunction with electrical engineer and other discipline engineers
• Calculate voltage drops, size conductors, starters, breakers, dis-connects, fuses, cable trays and lighting requirement.
• Develop material and load list.
• Read and extract electrical information from P& IDs and mechanical equipment list.
Requirements:
• Familiar with different stages of EPCM projects.
• Knowledgeable with latest revision of CEC Part 1, C22.1
• Able to work independently and make decisions on technical matters.
• Familiar with electric heat tracing design and fire alarm systems.
• Experience with various drafting software such as Microstation, 3D PDS, Smartplant, AutoCAD, Autoplant / Rebis or Intools.
• Must be able to liaison with other discipline team members and Vendors
• Provide on site construction support as required
Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years experience in related oil and gas field.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• CET Registration with ASET or equivalent
