Our client, a world leader in oil and natural gas explorations and production is looking for a Reservoir Engineer to serve within a multi-discipline reservoir management team (RMT) of geoscientists and engineers involved in the assessment and development of the company’s operated and non-operated Piceance Basin properties in northwest Colorado, a basin-centered unconventional tight gas asset.
Responsibilities:
• Lead role in managing actively drilling non-operated properties, including reserves assessment, economic evaluations, partner technical interaction, business planning/forecasting and monitoring of results.
• Act as technical and business liaison with operating partner.
• Assist in reserves management and economic evaluation of capital projects for operated properties and assessment of growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Petroleum Engineering BS Degree or higher, with a minimum of 3 years of reservoir engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to apply reservoir engineering techniques to identify opportunities and create value.
• Experience with reserve estimation techniques and knowledge of SEC reserves guidelines.
• Proficiency at economic evaluation and risk assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Cooperative and interactive team player.
• Demonstrated creative approach to problem solving.
• Solid organizational skills.
• Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to do occasional domestic travel.
• Experience in tight gas resource plays, ideally in Rockies region.
• Proficiency with an economic analysis software, preferably PEEP
• Experience with utilizing production database software, preferably DSS
• Experience with nodal analysis, preferably using Petroleum Experts software
• Experience with pressure transient and rate transient analysis, preferably using Kappa software
