Client located in the Salt Lake City, UT area has an opening for a Pipeline Safety Engineer to supports development, maintenance and operation of the integrity management program and of company operation and maintenance procedures and standards for a natural gas pipeline. This position will provide guidance and recommendations to engineering, field teams, gas control and management to assure compliance with federal pipeline safety regulations and safe pipeline operation. To be considered for this position you must have a Bachelors degree in engineering and an EIT. Knowledge of engineering principles and practices for analysis (pipeline/compression theory) in addition to effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to recognize, analyze and recommend alternative solutions to problems and issues are a must. Solid computer skills with various software applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and aptitude necessary to operate software related to work requirements is needed. Client will consider a fairly broad range of applicable experience so all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.
