Position Type:Full Time, Employee
Nationally recognized, full-service engineering firm in the Oil & Gas industry is currently seeking a Process Engineer for their Lakewood, Colorado engineering team.
Qualified candidates will offer BA in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited curriculum as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of engineering. Candidates must also have experience working with a multi-disciplined engineering team.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Sizing various mechanical process equipment, developing P&IDs and PFD's, pipe drawings, pipe isometrics, equipment layouts, bills of materials, equipment and valve lists, material specifications, and relief/safety valves
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings as well as directly or indirectly identifying and interpreting project specific code and specification requirements
- Analyzing bid packages and material requisitions as well as performing field assignments and working cooperatively with shop and field personnel
- Must be versed with instrumentation and control system requirements, shop fabrication drawings, and ASME vessel requirements
- Specific knowledge of pipe sizing and pipe fittings will be required
Ideal candidates should be willing to expand their engineering toolbox and be open to learning more facets of project design, construction and fabrication. If you have experience working as an engineer on the design of natural gas pipelines, compressors stations and/or natural gas processing facilities and/or power generation facilities it is a plus.
